SKIGO keppe kasutavad nii professionaalsed pikamaasuusatajad (nt Lager 157 Ski Team) kui ka FIS maailmakarikal võistlevad sportlased (nt Teodor Peterson SWE, kes võitnud medali nii olümpial kui maailmameistrivõistlusel). SKIGO on loodud ja juhitud endise tippsuusataja Christer Majbäck poolt, kelle auhinnakapis on nii individuaalne pronksmedal 1992 Albertiville olümpiamängudelt kui ka mitmed kuld, hõbe ja pronksmedalid maailmameistrivõistlustelt 1987-1991 nii individuaalselt kui võistkondlikult.

Race 1.0 is the SKIGO entry point. With a very low weight and fast pendulum, this has become a very popular pole among others long-distance skiers. The pole is a further development of the race rod that Görgen Brink won his Vasa race. SKIGO uses the same technology as for its Race 2.0 pole and this is noticeable especially on the ride. The pole is equipped with cork handles, race trough and a PRO control belt. Compared to the SKIGO Elit pole, Race 1.0 is much lighter and has a much faster pendulum.
