Inspired by the sleek style and cooling ventilation of our Register helmet, the Register Mips® XL is at home on pavement or the trail. It features In-Mold construction to make it light without compromising durability, and the acclaimed, adjustable Roc Loc Sport system makes it easy to custom-tune the fit for comfort and stability. Meanwhile, an integrated Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, which can redirect energy and provide more protection in certain impacts, ensures that you get the latest in head protection technology.
The MIPS (Multidirectional Impact Protection System) consists of a mobile shell inside the helmet that follows the movement of the head (10-15mm) and absorbs any rotational energy in the event of a fall in order to protect the brain.
The Roc Loc® Sport Fit System offers easy one-handed operation with a 7 cm adjustment range. With comfort similar to the Roc Loc® 5 and ponytail compatibility, the Roc Loc® Sport Fit System brings premium functionality to the sport helmet level.
With the in-mold constructionthe robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in one operation while foaming. The helmet becomes even more resistant, without additional weight. This production process also makes it possible to form significantly better ventilation systems and vents. Compared to traditional helmets, in-mold helmets are lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems. Giro´s Universal Fit™ family of helmets fit most people the first time they are tried on.
