The SHIMANO Deore XT BR-M8220 is the most powerful 4-piston hydraulic brake caliper in the XT M8200 series, delivering outstanding stopping power, consistency and precise control for demanding MTB, enduro and E-MTB riding.
New low-viscosity mineral oil keeps the pad contact point consistent across all temperatures and trail conditions. Updated seals and redesigned brake pads reduce vibration-related noise and eliminate rattling, even on rough terrain.
With a predictable, downhill-capable power curve, the BR-M8220 offers confident braking on long and steep descents. The 4-piston design and efficient heat dissipation ensure stable performance, especially when paired with Shimano rotors.
As part of the DEORE XT M8200 series, this caliper inherits key technologies and design cues from SHIMANO’s flagship XTR M9200 group, delivering durability and reliability for real-world riding conditions.
