Winter Road Shoes Northwave CELSIUS R ARCTIC GT
The Northwave CELSIUS R ARCTIC GT is a warm, windproof and waterproof PERFORMANCE-series road cycling shoe designed for riding in temperatures from –10 to +5 °C. Its Gore-Tex lining, insulated interior and high ankle collar protect the feet from cold, moisture and biting wind while maintaining the mobility required for efficient pedalling.
Power transfer is provided by the NRG Air Carbon Reinforced outsole with a stiffness index of 8/15. Its carbon-reinforced construction offers an effective balance between pedalling efficiency and the comfort required for longer winter rides.
The overlap upper construction wraps the foot evenly without creating uncomfortable pressure points. Its close-fitting design helps reduce aerodynamic resistance, stabilises the foot during pedalling and supports efficient transfer of every watt of power. The toe area is reinforced for additional abrasion resistance and protection.
The SLW2 dial provides quick and millimetre-precise adjustment of the fit. Its step-by-step release function allows the closure to be loosened gradually, making it easy and intuitive to achieve the correct tension even while riding.
The Easyfit Climaflex ankle collar combines the exceptional flexibility of the Gore-Tex Rattler® membrane with the high thermal insulation of neoprene. This provides natural ankle mobility together with dependable protection from cold, wind and moisture.
An anatomical heel seat and solid thermoformed heel counter keep the heel securely positioned. The Arctic 4Layer insole combines EVA, aluminium, EVA and fleece layers to reduce heat loss through the sole and provide excellent thermal insulation. Reflective inserts positioned around the entire shoe improve visibility in low-light and dark conditions.
