Shimano Alivio BR-T4000 is a durable and reliable rear V-brake designed primarily for trekking and touring bicycles, while also being suitable for mountain bikes. Combining a sporty appearance with easy operation, it delivers powerful, smooth and predictable braking performance for everyday commuting and longer cycling adventures.
The brake is equipped with Shimano S65T cartridge-type brake shoes, providing an excellent balance between braking power and low noise. The replaceable rubber inserts make maintenance more convenient, allowing worn brake pads to be replaced without changing the complete brake shoe holders.
The V-brake features 107 mm brake arms for efficient braking force transmission. An internal bumper stop reduces noise when the brake lever is released, contributing to quieter operation. X-type and Y-type spacers allow accurate brake shoe positioning and adjustment relative to the rim.
The Shimano Alivio BR-T4000 is compatible with Shimano BL-T4010 ergonomic three-finger and BL-T4000 two-finger brake levers. The specified SM-PM40 power modulator can be used in a compatible braking system to provide smoother brake force application. Its straightforward construction makes adjustment and maintenance easy.
