The Northwave X-TRAIL PLUS GTX trekking cycling shoes belong to the PERFORMANCE series and are designed for cool and changeable weather. Their windproof and waterproof construction with GORE-TEX insulation helps keep the feet dry and comfortable in temperatures from approximately -5 to +15 °C.

The Explorer sole features a midsole with calibrated stiffness, delivering efficient power transfer in the pedal area while retaining the flexibility needed for walking. This makes the shoes well suited to touring, long adventure rides and routes that include frequent off-bike sections.

The Michelin rubber tread provides dependable traction across varied terrain and weather conditions. According to the manufacturer, it is 28% more durable than TPU, helping maintain grip and long-term performance on rocky, wet and uneven surfaces.

The classic upper construction improves breathability and helps reduce moisture build-up inside the shoe. A TPU reinforcement at the toe protects both the foot and the shoe against rocks, branches and other trail impacts.

The SLW2 micrometric dial provides fast, even and highly precise closure adjustment. Its step-by-step release allows the fit to be fine-tuned with millimetric accuracy for secure and lasting comfort throughout the ride.
