Elite Square is an advanced smart indoor cycling frame featuring fully customisable virtual shifting and an exceptionally wide range of fit adjustments. Designed to replicate the riding position and drivetrain configuration of a real bicycle, Square transforms compatible direct-drive trainers into a personalised indoor cycling station. Compatible with most modern direct-drive trainers and major cycling applications, it offers a versatile solution for dedicated enthusiasts, competitive cyclists and households where several riders share the same equipment.

Fully customisable virtual shifting is at the heart of Square. Its dedicated app lets riders recreate their actual drivetrain, including groupset style, cassette speeds, individual sprocket sizes and chainring configurations. It supports 10–13-speed cassettes, sprockets from 9 to 52 teeth, and one, two or three chainrings ranging from 22 to 60 teeth. Shifting can be configured to imitate Shimano, SRAM or Campagnolo systems, or changed to convenient sequential shifting with automatically organised gear progression.

Square comes with a default Shimano 12-speed Mixed profile, which can be customised to suit personal preferences. Four additional configurations can be stored, allowing up to five individual profiles for different bicycles, users or training conditions. Sequential shifting supports 5–24 selectable resistance levels. Whether recreating a road racing drivetrain or preparing a different configuration for climbing workouts, Square gives riders extensive control over their gearing.

Integrated handlebar controllers recreate the familiar feel of road-bike shifters. Each controller features ten buttons for shifting, braking, steering, controlling a compatible Elite Aria fan and interacting with Zwift. The lever arrangement can replicate Shimano, SRAM and Campagnolo shifting styles. With a compatible Zwift Protocol-enabled trainer, the controllers provide virtual gear changes, menu navigation and interaction with Zwift directly from the handlebar, following the principles of Zwift Play, Zwift Click and Zwift Ride. Additional button combinations and long presses unlock functions such as continuous shifting, Aria mode selection and switching between configuration profiles.

Extensive fit adjustment allows Square to accurately replicate an outdoor riding position. Designed for riders approximately 152–198 cm tall, it covers a broad XS–XL fit range. Saddle height, setback and tilt, handlebar height and reach, effective top-tube length and crank length can all be adjusted. Clearly marked millimetre scales make precise and repeatable positioning straightforward. Five crank lengths are available: 165, 167.5, 170, 172.5 and 175 mm, helping maintain consistent pedalling biomechanics between outdoor and indoor cycling.

The 420 mm handlebar features a 6° flare for a secure and comfortable riding position. Non-slip silicone grips provide a durable, road-bike-like feel. A pre-installed bike-computer mount supports commonly used models, while a dedicated tablet mount is available separately for riders who prefer placing their training display directly above the handlebar.

The belt-drive transmission provides exceptionally smooth, quiet pedalling. Unlike a conventional chain drivetrain, it eliminates chain noise, reduces vibration and requires virtually no drivetrain maintenance. There is no chain lubrication or greasy residue to manage, making Square particularly practical for shared living spaces. The frame connects to compatible direct-drive trainers using a dedicated sprocket in place of a conventional cassette, eliminating the need to repeatedly swap bicycles or adjust rear derailleurs.

Square is compatible with most modern direct-drive trainers and major training applications. Using the Square companion app, riders configure their virtual drivetrain and profiles. For Zwift and Rouvy, the trainer can be paired as the power, resistance and cadence source, with Square paired as the controller. Virtual gears can be displayed on screen while compatible application functions are controlled directly from the handlebar. The full range of Zwift-specific commands requires a compatible trainer supporting Zwift Protocol.

Square is a battery-powered Plug & Play smart frame that does not require a mains connection during operation. Its battery provides up to 80 hours of use. The companion app handles initial setup, compatible Elite trainer pairing, up to five user profiles, drivetrain configurations and accessory connections. It also supports stand-alone training without an active application, allowing resistance to be adjusted directly from the handlebar through 16 levels.

For an even more immersive experience, Square integrates with the Elite Rizer gradient simulator and Elite Aria smart fan. Rizer replaces the standard front support and automatically raises or lowers the front of the frame according to the virtual gradient, while supporting steering in compatible Zwift routes. Aria adapts airflow to training data, with additional functions accessible from Square's handlebar controllers. The modular design allows riders to expand their indoor setup over time.

One training station can accommodate multiple riders. Wide adjustment ranges, clear measurement scales and stored drivetrain profiles make switching between users quick and convenient. There is no need to keep a dedicated training bicycle or repeatedly change cassettes and adapters. An Elite T-Race bottle cage and installation tools are included. Pedals are not included.
