The Shimano Deore SL-M6200-R is a new-generation 12-speed mechanical shift lever combining improved ergonomics, precise shifting performance and durable construction. Part of the Shimano Deore M7200/M6200 series, this RAPIDFIRE PLUS shifter is designed for 12-speed HYPERGLIDE+ drivetrains, delivering fast and smooth gear changes on technical mountain bike trails and everyday rides. The right-hand shifter features a dedicated handlebar clamp and comes without an optical gear display, providing a compact and minimalist cockpit setup.
Its redesigned ergonomic construction makes shifting more intuitive, responsive and precise. Shorter lever travel and a clearly defined engagement point provide more direct feedback, allowing riders to change gears quickly and confidently even in demanding riding conditions. The optimised lever shape supports natural hand movements, reducing finger effort and improving control on technical terrain.
Shimano RAPIDFIRE PLUS technology enables fast and accurate gear changes, including the ability to shift multiple gears in a single movement. The Multi-Shift function allows riders to change up to three gears at once, which is especially useful when approaching steep climbs, accelerating on descents or adapting to sudden changes in terrain. This helps riders quickly select the appropriate gear ratio and maintain an efficient pedalling cadence.
The 2-WAY RELEASE system allows the release lever to be operated either by pushing with the thumb or pulling with the index finger.
