The Northwave STORM CARBON road cycling shoes are among the most affordable PERFORMANCE-level carbon-soled models in the Northwave collection. They are designed for riders seeking efficient power transfer, reliable foot support and exceptional breathability for summer training and racing.
The Morph Carbon 12 AAS outsole features a full-carbon insert in the pedal area and has a stiffness index of 12.0. This construction transfers pedalling power efficiently while maintaining sufficient comfort for longer rides.
The TPU Anatomical Arch Support adapts to the shape of the foot and provides targeted support for a wide range of arch profiles and foot shapes. It helps improve stability, distribute pressure more evenly and support the foot throughout the pedal stroke.
The outsole is compatible with the Northwave Speedplay adapter, allowing an exceptionally low stack height between the foot and pedal. This lower interface improves pedal feel and creates a more direct connection between the rider and the pedal system. The adapter may be sold separately.
The unibody upper combines strategically positioned large mesh inserts with ultra-thin reinforced materials. Uber-open-knit mesh further increases airflow, making the shoe especially suitable for hot summer conditions and intensive training sessions.
The asymmetric closure pattern reduces pressure across the top of the foot and creates a close yet comfortable fit.
