Reynolds A329 TRAIL Expert is a high-quality 29-inch mountain bike rear wheel engineered for demanding trail and all-mountain riding. Combining excellent durability, reliable stiffness and precise handling, it delivers confidence and control on technical trails, rocky descents and challenging terrain.
The rim is constructed from high-strength 6069 aluminium alloy, featuring a welded joint and a sandblasted matte black finish. Its 32 mm internal width provides excellent support for modern high-volume trail and all-mountain tyres, improving traction, stability and control on rough terrain. Reinforced rim sidewalls help resist impact damage, including dents and pinch flats, during aggressive riding.
The Tubeless Ready rim profile allows the use of tubeless tyre systems, supporting easy inflation and secure tyre retention even at lower pressures. This helps improve traction and riding comfort on technical trails. The wheel is built with Wheelsmith DB14 double-butted Straight Pull spokes and lightweight aluminium nipples, providing an excellent balance of strength, low weight and structural stability.
At the centre of the wheel is a fully CNC-machined Ringlé SRX rear hub, featuring a 12° engagement angle for smooth and predictable power transfer. The reliable hub construction is well suited to trail and all-mountain riding, where durability and consistent engagement are essential in demanding conditions.
The rear wheel comes complete with two interchangeable freehub bodies – SRAM XD and Shimano Micro Spline. Both are included in the package, allowing the wheel to be used with SRAM XD and Shimano Micro Spline cassette systems without purchasing an additional freehub body. Simply select the appropriate freehub body for your drivetrain configuration.
Designed for 148x12 mm Boost thru-axle rear spacing, the Reynolds A329 TRAIL Expert features a 6-bolt disc brake mounting interface. Its 28-spoke construction and approximately 985-gram weight make it a durable and performance-oriented choice for mountain bikers who value reliability and control on challenging trails.
