The Park Tool TAP-3C is a set of precision-ground pedal taps designed to restore damaged or cross-threaded pedal threads in crank arms. It is a useful workshop tool when crank threads have been damaged by incorrect pedal installation, wear or previous service work.

The set is made for 1/2"-20 threading, a size commonly found on one-piece cranks. It includes both right-hand and left-hand threaded taps, allowing both crank arms to be serviced correctly. The left-hand tap is clearly marked with “LH”.

The TAP-3C taps are made from high carbon steel and hardened to help the cutting edges stay sharp through repeated use. They fit all conventional tap handles and can be used with both steel and alloy crank arms.
