Park Tool LRT-4 lockring tool – Shimano Direct Mount

The Park Tool LRT-4 is a precisely machined lockring tool designed for removing and installing lockrings on Shimano direct-mount chainring systems. Its accurate fit keeps the lockring securely engaged, reducing the risk of slipping and damage to components in both home and professional workshops.

The LRT-4 features a 36 mm hex profile for use with the Park Tool TWB-36 Crow Foot adapter and a torque wrench (each sold separately), allowing you to tighten lockrings to the manufacturer’s specified torque. CNC-machined from durable 6061 aluminum, it ensures a perfect fit while helping prevent scratching or marring of expensive cranks, chainrings and lockrings. The precisely machined flat face provides optimal engagement with the lockring.

  • Purpose-built for removing and installing Shimano direct-mount chainring lockrings.
  • Fits lockrings with 41 mm outside diameter and 16 notches.
  • Compatible with Shimano XTR 9120, XT 8120, MT900 and many other Shimano direct-mount systems.
  • 36 mm hex interface for use with the Park Tool TWB-36 Crow Foot and a torque wrench.
  • CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum to protect high-end components from damage.
  • Flat machined face ensures secure lockring engagement and smooth transfer of torque.

The LRT-4 is an essential addition to any tool kit servicing modern Shimano chainring systems, helping to ensure safe, reliable and correctly torqued assemblies.
