Grease REX Assembly Grease 50g

REX Assembly Grease is a multi-purpose water-repellent assembly grease for hubs, bearings, axles, headsets, bottom brackets and other bicycle components. Developed with the same philosophy as the highly acclaimed REX Domestique Chain Lube, it provides ultra-low friction and a strong lubricating film on metal-to-metal contact surfaces.

REX has transferred the proven chemical technology from its high-fluor ski waxes into bicycle maintenance. Fluorocarbon compounds improve the grease’s water-repellent properties and help protect parts from moisture, dirt and wear. Compared to chain lube, the same technology has been turned into a grease for longer-lasting assembly, protection and lubrication.

Assembly Grease is made at REX’s factory in Finland using medical-grade grease and paraffins instead of typical industrial greases. In addition to PTFE and fluorocarbon compounds, it contains a special anti-corrosive additive that further improves protection against rust, especially in headsets, bottom brackets and other areas exposed to moisture.

The grease is suitable for headsets and other bearings, bottom brackets, suspension linkages and bushings, axle threads, bolts and general bicycle assembly work. It has been tested year-round in the harsh Finnish climate by elite Finnish cyclists.
