Overview

LENSES RYDON ImpactX 2Red, PHOTOCHROMIC

LE 74 Impactx photochromic 2 red (filter category 1->3; light transmission 76% – 17%)

Rudy Project ImpactX™ photochromic lenses self-darken and self-lighten in seconds according to light intensity, making them highly suitable for variable light conditions. ImpactX™ lenses were originally developed based on military and aviation needs to be ultra-light, bulletproof, and transparent, which provides significantly better protection and reliability compared to polycarbonate or polyamide lenses.

Rudy Project ImpactX™ lens features/benefits:

  • Guaranteed lifetime unbreakable due to their unique semi-rigid construction, thereby eliminating injuries resulting from lens fragmentation.
  • Excellent optical image quality.
  • Excellent scratch resistance.
  • Lighter than polycarbonate lenses.
  • Top-level photochromic pigments.
  • Advanced polarizing properties.

ImpactX™ 2nd generation lenses compared to previous ones:

  • 25% faster color change with changing light conditions.
  • 60% wider dark/light scale.
  • 20% less sensitive to temperature.

Lenses should be chosen primarily based on the main weather conditions and the usage environment and field (see more details in the attached image). Several different colored lenses are designed for similar weather conditions, only the tonal quality of the image differs. Thus, it is possible to choose lenses based on aesthetic preferences according to the frame color of the glasses.
