Fischer SPEEDMAX 100HE SKATE PLUS 610 skate skis
The Fischer Speedmax 100He Skate Plus 610 is the flagship skate racing ski, featuring a new race design and proven many times over on the World Cup circuit. As the RACE CODE seal confirms, this model comes directly from Fischer’s racing department and is built for athletes who demand the very highest performance. At just 950 grams, it is Fischer’s lightest and fastest skate race ski to date.
Cold Base Bonding is a unique patented process in which the base is bonded to the ski without the use of heat and pressure. This preserves the homogeneity of the original molecular structure and allows for superior wax absorption, excellent grindability and maximum speed. The Bidirectional Air Core, Fischer’s highest-performing Air Core construction, offers an outstanding performance-to-weight ratio and works in perfect synergy with the Cold Base Bonding process.
Gliding Sidewalls are a thin liquid-waxable layer on the sidewalls that reduce friction and increase speed with less energy required from the skier. These sidewalls can be prepared exclusively with liquid wax. The World Cup Tip, with a lower and shorter geometry, reduces the ski’s swingweight to an absolute minimum and provides the highest possible agility and responsiveness.
The DTG World Cup Plus base structure is deeper and coarser, ideal for warm and moist conditions. Produced using natural diamond, it delivers a highly precise and durable finish, optimized for temperatures of -10 °C (14 °F) and warmer. Finish First is Fischer’s comprehensive finishing concept that unites all individual technological steps in the final base treatment for consistently top-level glide.
The skis are delivered Prewaxed with a fluor-free basic wax from VAUHTI. After the first grinding treatment and before shipment, a thin hot wax layer is applied to protect the base from dirt and oxidation and to ensure excellent gliding properties. Before first use, this protective wax layer must be removed with a sharp plexiglass scraper in the direction of travel under light, even pressure, then brushed out thoroughly with a nylon or combi brush until the structure is completely clean. Afterwards, the base wax should be ironed in again, cooled and brushed out, and then the appropriate paraffin or liquid wax can be applied for the given snow conditions.
The Skating 610 race-specific construction is designed for maximum speed, with pressure relief at the ski tip and tail and an ideal load distribution on compact to soft snow. Sidecut World Cup Skate, with its arrow-shaped geometry, enhances performance and dynamics, especially in the 1:1 skating technique.
The Precision Pairing System relies on fully automatic dynamic measurements of multiple pairing criteria to ensure precise ski selection and optimised pairing. CFC (Computer Flex Control) minimises differences in residual tension and camber pressure, resulting in consistent kick and climbing performance for demanding racers.
FCF (Fischer Carbon Fibre) uses multiaxial T300 1K carbon fibre laminates that combine high strength with minimal weight. The Helium Shield is a specially developed mix of carbon and glass fibre laminates that significantly reduces the overall weight of the ski while maintaining torsional stability and the performance characteristics required at World Cup level.

Fischer is one of Austria’s best-known and most established winter sports brands, with a history that began in 1924 in Ried im Innkreis, Upper Austria. From a small woodworking workshop, Fischer has grown into one of the world’s leading ski equipment manufacturers — a brand with a particularly strong reputation in cross-country skiing. Fischer Sports is still headquartered in Ried im Innkreis and remains one of the most important names in the Austrian winter sports industry.
Fischer’s strength has always been technical precision. Its skis, boots, bindings and accessories are designed to transfer energy as efficiently as possible into snow contact, glide and control. The range includes equipment for both classic and skating technique, for recreational skiers and racers, for training and long-distance ski marathons.
In cross-country skiing, Fischer has been one of the absolute top brands for decades. Its skis are used at World Cup, World Championship and Olympic level, while the same development expertise also reaches models designed for recreational skiers. This connection between elite-level racing and everyday skiing is what makes Fischer a reliable choice both for serious athletes and for skiers who simply want better glide, more secure grip and a more comfortable ride.
At the heart of Fischer’s product range are cross-country skis and boots, where every detail matters: ski stiffness, camber, base material, grip zone, boot fit and power transfer. For classic skis, this means a good balance between grip and glide; for skate skis, it means stability, speed and precise edge control. In its boot range, Fischer focuses on fit, support and comfort, helping skiers move efficiently and technically even over longer distances.
Fischer’s philosophy is simple: good ski equipment should make skiing more precise, faster and more enjoyable. Whether it is the first training kilometres of the season, a long ski marathon or a local cross-country trail, Fischer is a brand for skiers who value quality, reliability and the pure feeling of movement on snow.
