Shimano Nexus/Alfine 8L is a genuine non-turn washer designed for securing compatible Shimano internally geared rear hubs. It prevents the hub axle from rotating inside the frame dropout and helps maintain the correct position of the gear-shifting mechanism.
The green 8L non-turn washer is designed for left-hand installation on frames with vertical dropouts featuring an angle of 60–90°. It is compatible with Shimano Nexus SG-8R20, SG-8R22, SG-8R25 and SG-8R27 8-speed internal gear hubs. The recommended matching washer for the right-hand side is the blue 8R non-turn washer (Y34R85010).
