Shimano Nexus/Alfine 5L is a genuine non-turn washer designed for securing compatible Shimano internally geared rear hubs. The washer prevents the hub axle from rotating inside the frame dropout and helps maintain the correct position of the gear-shifting mechanism.

The brown 5L non-turn washer is designed for standard and reversed horizontal dropouts with an angle of 0–20°. It is a left-hand (L) washer compatible with selected Shimano Nexus and Alfine hubs, including the Nexus SG-4R35.
