Shimano Ultegra WH-R8170-C50-TL is a high-performance carbon front wheel combining aerodynamics, low weight and excellent rigidity. Part of the Shimano Ultegra R8100 series, the C50 with its 50 mm deep rim profile is designed for performance road cycling, delivering an outstanding balance of speed, handling and riding comfort. It is an excellent choice for racing, intensive training and long-distance road rides.

The full carbon rim shares its aerodynamic profile with Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 series wheels. Its 50 mm depth helps reduce aerodynamic drag at higher speeds while maintaining predictable handling in different riding conditions. The balanced construction and low rotational inertia provide responsive acceleration and efficient performance on flat roads, climbs and descents.

With a 21 mm internal width and 28 mm external width, the rim is optimised for modern, wider road tyres. The Tubeless Ready construction supports both tubeless and conventional clincher tyres with inner tubes. The wider rim profile provides improved tyre support, helping achieve an excellent balance of rolling efficiency, grip and riding comfort. Recommended tyre sizes range from 25-622 to 32-622.

The front wheel features 24 stainless steel spokes, providing a rigid and durable structure. Its lightweight aluminium hub incorporates labyrinth and contact seals to help protect the bearings from dirt and moisture. The Shimano CENTER LOCK disc rotor interface ensures compatibility with suitable disc brake systems, while the 12 x 100 mm E-THRU axle standard provides secure attachment to the front fork.
