The Zandstra EASY GLIDER is a safe, stable and easy-to-use Nordic skate designed specifically for children who are learning to move on natural ice. These strap-on skates attach directly to winter boots, making them ideal as a first pair of Nordic skates without the need for special ski boots or bindings. The wide, supportive frame and child-friendly construction help young skaters feel confident and secure.
The frame is 50% wider than that of typical strap-on skates, giving exceptional balance and support. The stainless spring-steel blade has a hardness of 45 Rc and a 35-meter radius — a forgiving and stable combination well-suited for beginners. The 1.7 mm thick blade increases stability and reduces the risk of sudden edge-catching.
The strap system makes it easy to put the skates on and tighten them quickly. The straps can also be adjusted again after a few minutes of skating to improve stability as boots settle in. The heel strap has soft padding to protect the child's foot, and the safe, rounded rear section prevents injury during falls.
The frame is made of technical Zytel 501 S.T. nylon, a durable and impact-resistant material that maintains its strength even in cold weather. Combined with the wide platform and stable steel blade, this makes the EASY GLIDER an excellent choice for children learning to skate outdoors on natural ice.
Care: dry the blades thoroughly after use to prevent rust. Avoid walking on rough surfaces and store the skates in a dry, cool location.
