Versatile 2-in-1 speed and cadence sensor supporting both BLE 5.0 and ANT+ connectivity. Depending on setup and installation position, the sensor transmits either speed (SPD) or cadence (CAD) data – mount it on the front hub for speed or on the left crank arm for cadence.

The package includes two different length rubber bands for hub and crank installation (4 pieces in total). By default, the sensor is set to speed mode. In SPD mode, the green LED lights up; in CAD mode, the red LED is activated. When pairing with your bike computer, select either SPD or CAD accordingly.

If using the sensor as a cadence device with a sports watch or third-party device that does not distinguish between SPD and CAD, download the ShanrenSport app. Enable Bluetooth, move the sensor, then select: “Devices” > [Add a new device] > SC 20 > Sensor Type > Switch to Cadence.

The speed sensor is especially useful on technical, twisty or mountainous trails where GPS may not provide accurate real-time data. The cadence function helps optimise pedalling efficiency – a sporty riding cadence is typically around 90 rpm, though this is highly individual. In triathlon, riding below 80 rpm can negatively affect the running segment.
