Its looks are familiar, but the Editor Hybrid's Trapeze frame is full of unfamiliar clever touches. The lightweight, durable aluminium frame makes use of Smooth Welding at the main tube joints – so it has a clean, almost organic appearance. Cables are fully integrated to complement the uncluttered aesthetic, and we placed the 400Wh battery unobtrusively in the down tube and incorporated the mini controller in the top tube. Meanwhile the full carbon fork is light, strong and suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. It's ready for the urban jungle.

The Editor Hybrid Pro 400X is the stealth urban e-bike you never knew you needed. Shimano's easy-to-use 11-speed Cues gears give you the range you need to make light work of any route, whilst powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes serve up safe stopping power in all weathers. • CARBON FORK - How important is material choice? When it comes to the fork that holds your front wheel, more important than you might think. Not only is our Carbon Fork exceptionally light and strong, it's also surprisingly comfortable to ride. And, when you're weaving your way through city streets, those are all qualities that you'll appreciate.
• ADVANCED INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING - Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.
• FIXED INTEGRATED BATTERY - Bosch SX technology incorporates a new, lighter and more configurable battery setup. To make the most of the weight saving, we've integrated the new battery fully into the down tube. This means we can position it optimally for the best weight distribution and handling, as well as saving more weight by building a down tube that's precisely the right size to fit, and without the need for an access hatch. And the Power More option means you can add an additional 250Wh battery quickly and simply, for extra range. It's the best of both worlds.

• ALUMINIUM SUPERLITE - CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities – high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength – that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.
