Morgan Blue Chain Cleaner is a highly effective and fast-acting cleaner and degreaser developed for the thorough maintenance of bicycle chains and drivetrain components. It is one of Morgan Blue’s legendary products, and the brand originally took its name from the cleaner’s distinctive colour. Its active cleaning components quickly remove oil, grease, dust and stubborn dirt from chains, sprockets and derailleurs.

Regular cleaning of the chain and drivetrain helps prevent premature component wear, improves drivetrain performance and supports smoother, more accurate shifting. A clean chain also runs more quietly, maintains its performance for longer and is easier to clean during future maintenance. After every cleaning, the chain and all moving parts must be lubricated again with a suitable lubricant.

Apply Chain Cleaner to the chain, front and rear sprockets and derailleurs using a spray bottle or a brush, such as the Morgan Blue Chain Brush. Allow the cleaner to work for 5 minutes, then rinse the components with lukewarm water or a mild soap and shampoo solution. Dry the cleaned parts with a cloth and immediately relubricate the chain and all moving components.

The formula is safe for rubber and plastic parts and, thanks to its powerful degreasing action, can also be used for cleaning dirty components on cars, motorcycles, garden machinery and similar equipment. The large 5-litre container is particularly suitable for bicycle workshops, service centres and frequent professional use. Do not apply the product to bearings, and do not use it on the frame or fork in strong direct sunlight.
