The Shimano TL-CT12 is a high-quality cable cutter designed for precise cutting of bicycle inner cables and outer casings. It is suitable for both shift and brake cable service, helping create a clean cut that is essential for smooth shifting performance and a consistent brake feel.
Compared with the previous TL-CT11 model, the TL-CT12 offers substantially improved sharpness and durability. The cutting jaws trim inner cables and outer casings cleanly and accurately, while the tool also helps reform the shape of the outer casing end and reshape the inner liner. This reduces friction and supports smooth cable movement inside the casing.
The built-in cable end crimper allows inner cable end caps to be compressed without needing a separate tool. The decreased opening angle of the handles improves ergonomics and makes the cutter more comfortable to use, especially during repeated workshop tasks.
