The Thule HangOn 974 is a practical, durable and easy-to-use towbar-mounted bike carrier designed to transport up to three bicycles at once. Its straightforward construction and compact design make it an excellent choice for everyday use, weekend adventures and longer road trips.
The carrier features a strong and reliable coupling mechanism that attaches securely to the vehicle's towbar without requiring any pre-adjustment. Bicycles are secured to the carrier using soft rubber straps, providing a firm hold while helping to protect bicycle frames from scratches and damage during transport.
The Thule HangOn 974 accommodates a wide variety of bicycles, including models with wheels up to 29 inches in diameter. For bicycles with non-standard frame geometries, such as step-through bikes, BMX bikes and certain mountain bikes, the separately available Thule Bike Frame Adapter 982 can be used to ensure proper attachment.
When not in use, the carrier can be folded into a compact size for convenient storage and handling. For additional security, it can be locked to the vehicle's towbar using the optional Thule Lock 957. An optional Thule Light Board can also be fitted to ensure that the vehicle's rear lights and registration plate remain visible.
