The SIGMA R2 DUO Combo is a versatile speed and cadence sensor that transmits ride data via both ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart. This makes it possible to send all important training data simultaneously to a compatible bike computer and a smartphone using a suitable cycling or training app.

The speed sensor is especially useful on technical, twisty and hilly off-road rides in the forest, where GPS may not always calculate current speed and distance accurately enough in real time. Because the measurement is based on wheel rotation, the sensor helps keep speed and distance data more stable and precise even where satellite signal quality may be limited.

The cadence sensor allows you to monitor your pedalling rate during the ride and analyse it afterwards. This is valuable on long and steady road or endurance rides, where a consistent cadence can help maintain efficient and economical pedalling. For sporty riding, around 90 revolutions per minute is often used as a general reference point, but the ideal cadence is highly individual and depends on strength, fitness level and riding style.

The sensor is a practical choice for riders who want a more accurate view of their ride, training load and pedalling technique. In triathlon or longer endurance events, for example, pushing too hard at a low cadence below 80 rpm can fatigue the legs and become clearly noticeable during the running section.
