The Northwave FLAGSHIP GTX is the brand’s flagship winter mountain bike shoe, developed for demanding rides in temperatures ranging from –25 to +5 °C. Its fully windproof and waterproof construction, combined with a warm Gore-Tex® lining, protects the feet from cold, moisture and biting wind while maintaining excellent breathability during high-intensity riding.

FLAGSHIP GTX celebrates 15 years of partnership between Northwave and Gore-Tex. Northwave’s extensive experience in developing winter cycling footwear and snowboard boots has been combined with Gore-Tex material technology to deliver outstanding warmth, weather protection and riding comfort in the harshest winter conditions.

The Gore-Tex Duratherm Kelvin lining provides the highest level of thermal insulation available in the Gore-Tex range, offering reliable protection from cold and wet weather without compromising breathability. The neoprene Easyfit collar ensures mobility and a close protective fit from the instep to the ankle. A highly flexible tendon area provides natural freedom of movement similar to a summer cycling shoe.

The overlap upper construction distributes closure pressure evenly across the foot and improves power transfer while pedalling. Two SLW3 dials allow millimetre-precise adjustment of the fit. Northwave’s SLW3 system also offers gradual step-by-step release and can be operated easily while wearing winter gloves.

The Hyperlight XC full-carbon outsole is made from 100% unidirectional carbon fibre. Its stiffness index of 14/15 provides highly efficient power transfer, while the lightweight construction keeps the shoe weight at only 440 grams in size 42. The aggressive tread pattern delivers dependable grip on slippery and technical winter terrain.
