The Northwave OVERLAND PLUS trekking shoes are versatile cycling footwear for riders who value comfort, grip and adaptability rather than pure race performance. They are suitable for commuting, touring, mountain adventures, MTBO, cross-country marathons, XCO trails, enduro, downhill, dirt jumping and a wide range of outdoor activities.

The shoes can be used with mountain bike cleats or without cleats on flat pedals. They also provide secure contact on hybrid pedals when unclipped. At the same time, the sole is flexible and comfortable enough for walking, making the shoes practical for rides that include frequent off-bike sections.

The Vibram Fort Augustus clipless sole delivers dependable traction and braking control on both wet and dry surfaces. An EVA midsole reduces weight and absorbs impacts, improving comfort on rough trails, long rides and walking sections.

The thermowelded layered construction provides effective protection while keeping thickness and weight to a minimum. A small TPU insert increases abrasion resistance and helps protect the shoes against repeated impacts, rocks and trail obstacles.

The SLW3 dial and hook-and-loop strap work together to distribute pressure evenly across the foot. The SLW3 system tightens the shoe from the middle of the instep towards the toes, while the upper strap secures the higher part of the instep. This reduces pressure points and improves support while riding.

The Ripstop-reinforced upper and tongue improve durability and allow the shoes to perform reliably in changing weather and trail conditions. A thin layer of tongue padding provides lasting comfort during extended rides without adding unnecessary bulk.

The rear section is carefully shaped to adapt closely to the heel, reducing slippage and maintaining a precise fit. The Northwave OVERLAND PLUS combines the support of an MTB shoe, the walking comfort of a trekking shoe and the durability needed for demanding adventures.
