The ACID Avid Code 2011 organic disc brake pads are designed for amateur and beginner cyclists who value quiet and smooth braking performance. The abrasive substances used in organic pads are typically made from fibres such as glass, rubber, carbon/Kevlar® or Twaron®, combined with fillers and temperature-resistant synthetic or natural resins. This composition ensures a softer braking feel and reduced noise.

The soft compound provides improved modulation and a more progressive build-up of braking power, making these pads ideal for everyday riding and training sessions. However, organic pads are known to wear faster and may produce more brake dust. After exposure to high temperatures, they can also be more prone to rubbing, which makes them best suited to moderate riding conditions.
