Winter MTB Shoes Northwave CELSIUS XC ARCTIC GTX

The Northwave CELSIUS XC ARCTIC GTX is a windproof and waterproof PERFORMANCE-series winter mountain bike shoe designed for riding in temperatures from –10 to +5 °C. Its insulated GORE-TEX construction protects the feet from cold, wind and moisture while maintaining comfortable breathability during active off-road riding.

Power transfer is provided by the Jaws Carbon Reinforced outsole with a stiffness index of 8/15. Its carbon-reinforced construction offers an effective balance between pedalling efficiency and the practicality required for mountain biking. The natural rubber tread delivers excellent grip on wet, slippery and uneven surfaces.

The overlap upper construction wraps the foot evenly without creating uncomfortable pressure points. This helps stabilise the foot, improves power transfer and reduces energy dispersion during pedalling. Strategically positioned TPU reinforcements provide 360° protection around the upper against rocks, branches and trail-related abrasion.

The SLW2 dial allows the fit to be adjusted quickly and with millimetre precision. Its step-by-step release function makes it possible to loosen the closure gradually, allowing fast and intuitive adjustments even while riding.

The Easyfit Climaflex ankle collar combines the flexibility of the Rattler® GORE-TEX membrane with the high thermal insulation of neoprene. This provides natural ankle mobility together with dependable protection from cold, moisture and trail spray.

An anatomical heel seat and solid thermoformed heel counter keep the heel securely positioned during pedalling. The Arctic 4Layer insole combines EVA, aluminium, EVA and fleece layers to reduce heat loss through the sole and improve thermal insulation. Reflective inserts around the entire shoe increase visibility in low-light and dark conditions.
