Winter MTB Shoes Northwave CELSIUS XC ARCTIC GTX

The Northwave CELSIUS XC ARCTIC GTX is an eye-catching PERFORMANCE-series winter mountain bike shoe designed for riding in temperatures from –10 to +5 °C. Its windproof and waterproof construction, combined with insulated GORE-TEX lining, protects the feet from cold, moisture and wind while maintaining good breathability and a comfortable internal climate.

Power transfer is provided by the Jaws Carbon Reinforced outsole with a stiffness index of 8/15. The sole balances efficient pedalling performance with the flexibility required for off-road use. Its natural rubber tread and reinforced heel area provide excellent traction across wet, slippery and uneven surfaces.

The overlap upper construction wraps the foot evenly without creating uncomfortable pressure points. This improves stability, helps transfer every watt of power efficiently and reduces energy dispersion. Strategically positioned TPU reinforcements provide 360° protection around the upper against rocks, branches and trail-related abrasion.

The SLW2 dial delivers fast, even and precise closure. Its step-by-step release function allows tension to be reduced with millimetre accuracy while riding, and the system remains easy to operate while wearing winter gloves. The Easyfit Climaflex collar combines the flexibility of the Rattler® GORE-TEX membrane with the high thermal insulation of neoprene for greater mobility and protection.

An anatomical heel seat and solid thermoformed heel counter keep the foot securely positioned during pedalling. The Arctic 4Layer insole combines EVA, aluminium, EVA and fleece layers to reduce heat loss through the sole and maintain warmth inside the shoe. Reflective inserts around the entire shoe improve visibility in low-light and dark conditions.
