The Fizik R5 ARTICA 3 is a winter road cycling shoe combining waterproof protection, effective thermal insulation and efficient power transfer. It is designed for cold and wet rides, delivering warmth, comfort and a secure fit in demanding winter conditions.
The waterproof and breathable membrane helps keep rain, slush and cold moisture outside while allowing internally generated moisture to escape. An easy-to-clean waterproof outer layer and waterproof zip provide additional protection against harsh weather.
The Microtex Reinforced Shell upper creates a structured and supportive fit that keeps the foot stable while pedalling. The breathable membrane improves airflow and helps maintain a more comfortable internal climate during longer rides.
The Internal Speed Lacing system allows the shoe to be adjusted quickly and accurately to the shape of the foot. The lacing mechanism sits beneath the weatherproof outer layer, helping protect it from water, mud and cold conditions.
The carbon-reinforced nylon outsole is lightweight and stiff, providing efficient power transfer to the pedals. Its balanced construction makes it suitable for winter training and longer road rides where both performance and comfort are important.
The Winter Edition Cycling Insole combines a soft fleece upper with an insulating aluminium foil underside. This construction reduces heat loss through the sole and helps keep the feet warmer in low temperatures.
