Winter MTB Shoes Northwave X-MAGMA CORE

The Northwave X-MAGMA CORE is a windproof and waterproof PERFORMANCE-series winter mountain bike shoe designed for riding in temperatures from –15 to +5 °C. It is suitable for a wide range of trails as well as e-bike use and daily commuting in cold and changeable weather conditions.

The 200 g Primaloft Gold Insulation ECO thermal padding is made from recycled material and provides excellent insulation and breathability. Additional lining around the toe helps keep the feet warm in extreme cold, while the weatherproof construction protects against moisture and cold wind.

The Easyfit Climaflex ankle collar combines effective protection with excellent mobility. Its flexible construction follows natural ankle movement while pedalling and helps prevent cold air and road spray from entering the shoe.

The overlap upper construction wraps the foot evenly without creating uncomfortable pressure points. This improves stability, helps transfer every watt of power efficiently and reduces energy dispersion. A TPU-reinforced toe provides additional protection against impacts and abrasion.

The SLW2 dial allows the fit to be adjusted quickly and with millimetre precision. Its step-by-step release function enables gradual loosening, making it easy and intuitive to achieve the correct tension even while riding.

The Explorer outsole provides efficient power transfer through the pedal area while remaining comfortable for walking. Its Michelin rubber tread is 28% more resistant than TPU and delivers dependable grip across wet, slippery and uneven terrain.

The integrated heel seat uses directional fibres to help prevent heel lift. The Arctic 4Layer insole combines EVA, aluminium, EVA and fleece, while the Lasting Board Thermal Shield uses EVA and aluminium layers. Together, they reduce heat loss through the sole and improve thermal insulation.

Reflective inserts positioned around the entire shoe improve visibility in low-light and dark conditions, making the X-MAGMA CORE a practical choice for winter trail riding, e-biking and everyday commuting.
