The Shimano SAINT BR-M820 is an extremely powerful 4-piston hydraulic disc brake caliper developed for aggressive MTB, downhill and freeride riding. It delivers consistently high braking performance even on the longest and steepest descents, where braking systems are pushed to their limits.

Shimano’s ICE TECHNOLOGY ensures stable braking through efficient heat management. Sandwich-structure rotors (aluminum core with stainless steel outer layers) reduce heat build-up, while H03C Metal Ice-Tech brake pads with cooling fins further improve heat dissipation and minimize brake fade.

The BR-M820 features ceramic pistons for enhanced heat resistance and consistent performance under extreme conditions. The Post Mount interface allows installation on both front and rear wheels. Shimano’s One-Way Bleeding system enables quick and clean maintenance, and the system runs on Shimano mineral oil for reliable operation.
