The Rottefella Performance Skate binding is designed for skis and Nordic skates equipped with an NIS mounting plate and is compatible with all boots featuring an NNN sole. The reinforced binding housing ensures excellent stability and precise power transfer, making it suitable for both skating skis and touring skates.

The NIS system is still used on skis from Madshus, Peltonen, Kästle, SkiTrab and on Zandstra NIS Nordic skates, and was historically used on Fischer and Rossignol skis (2007–2016). The NNN sole, with its two parallel grooves, fits boots from Alpina, Fischer, Madshus, Rossignol, Prolink and others.

The binding can be moved forward or backward on the NIS plate to optimise control, glide or balance. For more dynamic touring skating, we recommend Rottefella Classic Flex Extra Hard, ensuring better heel connection similar to speed skating blades.
