The Shimano XTR FD-M9020 is part of the XTR M9000 series and is designed for elite-level 2x11-speed mountain and race bikes. It delivers uncompromising performance with outstanding precision, low weight, and exceptional reliability in the toughest riding conditions.

The Side Swing mechanism moves sideways to reduce cable friction, enabling faster and more powerful shifting. This design also increases clearance around the frame and tire, making it ideal for modern MTB frame geometries.

With a Direct Mount interface, the derailleur mounts directly to the frame for maximum stiffness and shifting accuracy. Front Pull cable routing, where the cable is pulled from the front, integrates perfectly with contemporary frame designs. The FD-M9020 is optimized for frames with a 66–69° angle, ensuring smooth and quiet operation across the entire gear range.
