The Shimano Deore FD-M617 is a Side Swing front derailleur designed for modern 2x10-speed mountain and trail bikes. Its sideways shifting motion reduces cable friction and delivers fast, precise gear changes, even under heavy load.

The Direct Mount design provides a stiff and accurate interface with the frame, improving shifting stability and drivetrain feel. With Front Pull cable routing, the cable is pulled from the front, making it ideal for contemporary frame geometries and clean cable routing.

Supporting front chainrings up to 42 teeth, the FD-M617 features an advanced chain guide that keeps the chain under control at all times. Its robust construction and Deore-series reliability make it suitable for demanding off-road conditions and long rides.
