The Shimano Sora BR-R3000 front brake is part of Shimano’s 9-speed SORA groupset, designed for sports and fitness cyclists and equally suited to urban commuting or winter road bikes. With technologies adopted from higher-level groupsets, it offers reliable and confident braking for both beginners and enthusiasts.

Featuring the NEW SUPER SLR dual pivot design, braking performance is improved by up to 20% compared to the previous version, delivering a more linear and predictable braking feel. The dual pivot caliper increases stiffness and braking efficiency, while the quick release mechanism makes wheel removal fast and convenient.

The brake is compatible with tyres up to 28 mm and rim widths from 19–28 mm. Supplied with R50T5 brake shoes, it ensures dependable braking performance on aluminium rims in both dry and wet conditions.
