Powder REX NFX 21 BLUE -2…-10°C 20g
REX NFX 21 BLUE is a fluoro-free race powder designed for air temperatures from -2…-10°C. It is the most universal option in the NFX range, comparable to Rex blue glide waxes. The powder performs reliably on all snow types, but is especially effective on natural and relatively new snow, delivering fast and consistent glide in typical winter conditions.
NFX powders represent Rex’s revolutionary fluoro-free racing technology, developed in cooperation with some of the world’s best ski teams. Instead of fluorocarbons, they use micronized Rex Power Polymer compounds combined with hydrophobic additives and N-Kinetic nanoparticles. Applied in powder form, these components create a strong and wear-resistant matrix on the ski base, ensuring outstanding speed and durability. NFX powders consistently rank at the top of glide tests and podium results.
For optimal performance, start with Rex NF SISU base wax or traditional Rex blue paraffin as a primer to improve bonding and durability. Follow with a condition-specific NF series race wax, and finish with NFX 21 powder for the same temperature range. For long-distance races such as ski marathons, the NF race wax layer can be skipped and the base wax covered directly with NFX 00 SISU powder.
The melting point is 135°C, but for best results use a waxing iron at least 180°C (ideally 180–220°C). Apply the powder to the base, carefully melt it in, allow to cool (except SISU and NFX41), scrape off excess and brush thoroughly with a stiff nylon brush. SISU and NFX41 powders should be scraped while warm. Avoid overheating the ski base. Although free from harmful fluorocarbons, using an FFP3-level mask is recommended to avoid inhaling fine dust.
