The Shimano XTR BR-M9100 is a top-tier 2-piston hydraulic disc brake caliper developed for competitive XC and marathon racing. Its MONO-BODY construction is machined from a single cold-forged aluminum block to maximize stiffness while minimizing weight, delivering exceptionally precise and linear braking feel.
The caliper features dual ceramic pistons for consistent pad pressure and superior heat insulation. Compared to the previous M9000 generation, braking power, lever stroke and response have been improved, reducing delay and delivering up to 30% more responsive performance with less finger input force.
A new high-rigidity brake hose and one-piece aluminum caliper body provide maximum control on technical terrain. Shimano’s One-Way Bleeding system ensures simple maintenance, and the system runs on Shimano mineral oil for reliable operation. The BR-M9100 is optimized for use with the BL-M9100 brake lever and RT-MT900 rotors.
