The Shimano Deore BR-MT520 is a powerful and reliable 4-piston hydraulic disc brake caliper designed for mountain and trekking bikes that demand strong yet controllable braking performance. The four-piston construction ensures even pressure distribution across the pads and improved heat management, especially on long and technical descents.
With its Post Mount interface, the caliper can be installed on either the front or rear wheel, offering excellent compatibility with a wide range of frames and forks. The included D01S Resin brake pads provide quiet operation and smooth modulation, making them ideal for everyday trail riding and touring use.
Shimano’s One-Way Bleeding system simplifies maintenance and helps keep the brake system free of air bubbles for consistent performance. The system uses Shimano mineral oil for stable operation in varying weather conditions. The BR-MT520 is compatible with the BL-MT501 brake lever and optimized for use with the SM-BH90-SS brake hose.
