The BLACK ICE 24x1.75 is a quiet and efficiently rolling studded tire designed for variable Nordic winter conditions. It combines a deep siped tread pattern with 100 steel-alloy studs to provide dependable traction on dry and wet asphalt, snow and icy sections. Its versatile design makes it particularly well suited to everyday winter cycling where surface conditions can change considerably during a single ride.

The tire features 100 steel-alloy studs arranged in two rows along the sides of the tread. This positioning allows the tire to remain relatively quiet and efficient when riding upright in a straight line, while the studs engage more noticeably when cornering, leaning the bike or using lower tire pressures. Reduced stud contact during normal straight-line riding can also help limit unnecessary stud wear.

BLACK ICE uses a relatively firm and wear-resistant rubber compound. Its deep and open tread pattern provides siped-tire-like grip on slippery paved roads while also offering good traction on snow and softer surfaces. The open tread is designed to shed snow effectively in most conditions, although wet and compacting snow can still accumulate between the tread blocks.

Compared with premium winter tires using particularly soft rubber compounds, the BLACK ICE is designed to achieve a balanced combination of winter grip, low rolling resistance, durability and excellent value rather than maximum possible ice traction. This makes it a practical choice for riders whose winter routes include a mixture of clear asphalt, snow and occasional icy sections.

The tire has a wire bead and is designed for use with an inner tube. Reflective sidewall strips help improve visibility in low-light conditions. The recommended inflation pressure is 35-65 PSI, equivalent to approximately 2.4-4.5 bar.
