The GIRO INSURGENT SPHERICAL MIPS is a premium Full Face mountain bike helmet designed for aggressive enduro, downhill and BMX riding. Its durable fibreglass shell, multi-layer impact protection and advanced ventilation provide confidence on technical trails, jumps and high-speed descents.

Spherical MIPS® technology uses two inner layers that move relative to one another in a ball-and-socket configuration. During certain angled impacts, this system helps redirect impact energy and reduce rotational forces transferred to the rider’s head.

The progressive EPS and EPP foam construction is engineered to manage different types of impacts. EPS helps absorb higher-energy impacts, while EPP is better suited to lower-speed and repeated impacts. The fibreglass outer shell adds durability and structural strength.

A flexible zone along the lower edge is designed to help reduce force transferred to the collarbone in certain crash situations. The helmet complies with the demanding ASTM-1952-DH downhill and ASTM-2032-BMX safety standards.

Large intake and exhaust vents are connected by deep internal channels to guide cooling air throughout the helmet. Stack™ ventilation improves airflow around goggles and helps reduce lens fogging during intense riding.

Ionic+™ antimicrobial padding manages moisture and helps keep the helmet interior fresher. A specially shaped brow pad directs sweat away from the eyes, while emergency-release cheek pads allow the helmet to be removed quickly and carefully after a crash.

The adjustable breakaway visor is designed to release during an impact and includes an integrated action-camera mount. A secure D-ring chin strap keeps the helmet firmly in place during the most demanding rides.
