The Shimano 105 SM-BB72-41B press-fit bottom bracket is designed for road bikes, delivering an excellent balance of smooth rotation, stiffness and durability. The press-fit design with a 24 mm axle ensures efficient power transfer and low weight.
Using a 24 mm diameter axle and bearings provides the ideal combination of rotational efficiency, strength, sealing and reliability for press-fit bottom brackets. Shimano’s sealing system protects the bearings from dirt and moisture.
The BB72 fits frames with a 86.5 mm press-fit shell width and a 41 mm shell diameter, and is compatible with a wide range of Shimano road and cyclocross cranksets.
