The Shimano 105 BR-R7170 is a next-generation 2-piston hydraulic road disc brake caliper designed for rear wheel installation with a Flat Mount interface. It delivers an excellent balance of braking power and controllability, ensuring confident performance on fast descents and long road rides.

The low-profile Flat Mount design integrates seamlessly with modern road frames, offering a clean and compact appearance. Compared to previous models, the BR-R7170 is lighter and more compact, featuring 10% wider pad clearance to reduce rotor rub, improve quiet operation and allow easier wheel removal.

Equipped with L05A-RF Resin brake pads with cooling fins, the caliper enhances heat dissipation and maintains consistent braking performance under demanding conditions. Shimano’s One-Way Bleeding system provides a maintenance-friendly and clean bleeding process, and the system operates with Shimano mineral oil for reliable performance.
