The Northwave PODIUM R cycling shoes combine sporty styling, comfortable walking performance and technical construction inspired by high-end cycling footwear. They are ideal for urban riding, everyday wear, moving around before and after races, and naturally stepping onto the podium.

The EVA outsole is stiffer than a typical casual sole, providing improved support and more efficient power transfer while cycling. A rubber tread enhances walking grip and makes the shoe practical across a variety of urban surfaces and everyday conditions.

The upper uses Northwave’s patented XFrame construction, derived from the brand’s top-level cycling shoes. Next-generation ultralight materials are only 0.5 mm thick and help distribute closure pressure evenly around the foot, reducing pressure points while creating a close and precise fit.

The SLW2 micrometric dial provides fast and accurate closure adjustment. It allows step-by-step tension release as well as complete opening with a single button action, making the shoes quick and convenient to put on and remove.

The integrated heel system features directional fibres that help prevent heel slippage and keep the foot securely positioned. The Pro Regular Fit footbed uses a stiffened dual-density construction to provide additional support and stability both on the bike and while walking.
