ACID organic disc brake pads are compatible with Avid Elixir Trail X0/X9/X7 and SRAM Guide R disc brake systems. Organic friction materials are typically made from fibers such as glass, rubber, carbon/Kevlar® or Twaron®, combined with fillers and temperature-resistant synthetic or natural resins.
These pads are known for their soft and quiet performance, offering smooth and well-modulated braking. However, they wear faster and may generate more brake dust. After exposure to very high temperatures, friction may increase. Ideal for recreational and beginner cyclists who prefer controlled and low-noise braking.
