Loads of experience goes into every CUBE frame – and the Stereo 240 is no exception. The wheels may be smaller than our other full-suspension bikes, but the attention to detail is just as thorough. We use the same kind of butted-aluminium tubes as our full-size bikes, and apply the same suspension kinematics. There's a replaceable gear hanger so that the inevitable crashes don't result in an expensive frame repair, and it's all passed our strict in-house safety tests with flying colours – so you know it's not just a fun ride, but a safe one too.

When the bug bites, it's only natural that the mini mountain biker in the family is going to want a bike to match their enthusiasm. The Stereo 240 ONE's Manitou J-Unit fork and Radium Expert rear shock – with kids'-specific tune – is the one they're going to want. With its 24in wheels and perfectly proportioned frame, it's every inch a real mountain bike scaled down to size. That's why we fitted the easy-to-use 1x9 gear system, and powerful Magura hydraulic brakes – so your little shredder is as safe and confident coming down the hill as they are going up.

• AGILE TRAIL GEOMETRY - Agile Trail Geometry is a development of our popular and well received Agile Ride Geometry, with a focus on riders who enjoy pushing their limits on the trails. By lowering standover height and allowing more room for the rider to move around over the bike, we've created a setup that rewards adventurous line choices. Because, after all, it's all about having fun.
• EFFICIENT TRAIL CONTROL - Our Efficient Trail Control series works in the background so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. A low leverage ratio and linear compression rate are the technical way of saying that these bikes are very sensitive to trail obstacles, whilst remaining insensitive to pedal-induced bob and giving a full range of travel.
• ADVANCED HYDROFORMING - Our high end aluminium frame models are built using Advanced Hydroforming. This manufacturing process uses high pressure fluid to change an aluminium tube's shape, making the best use of the material's properties and maximising strength whilst miminising weight. It all helps reduce the number of welds, resulting in a frame that performs and looks better in every way.
