The Northwave TOP GANNA EXTREME road cycling shoes are engineered for uncompromising race performance, where every watt, sprint and acceleration matters. Inspired by Filippo Ganna, they combine professional-level stiffness, precise adjustment, secure foot support and efficient ventilation.

The 100% unidirectional carbon outsole has a stiffness index of 15, providing exceptionally direct power transfer to the pedals. The exclusive High Tail structure stabilises the heel, while the patented Powershape system supports the arch and helps maintain an optimal foot position during powerful pedalling.

According to Northwave, the Powershape sole construction provides 9% greater stability, 15% lower perceived exertion and up to 4% higher maximum power output compared with the same upper used with a conventional sole. Improved support also helps reduce muscular effort during intense riding.

The new and lighter Anatomic Reticular Support 2.0 system creates a supportive structure around the foot and helps maintain correct positioning. The heel grip uses oriented fibres to reduce unwanted movement and prevent the heel from slipping during sprints and high-cadence efforts.

The dual-zone closure system uses two SLW3 dials developed by X-Dial. Each section can be adjusted independently with micrometric precision, creating an even, secure and highly personalised fit.

The underlap upper construction wraps closely around the foot and promotes uniform closure without uneven pressure. Laser-cut perforations and large air intakes improve airflow and thermoregulation during hot-weather training and racing.

Two dual-density insoles are included: a 5 mm version for a slimmer fit and a 3 mm version for a regular fit. A replaceable rubber rear stud helps extend the life of the shoes, while the outsole is also compatible with Speedplay cleat systems.
