The Northwave EXTREME PRO 3 road cycling shoes are designed for riders who demand maximum power transfer, a precise fit and uncompromising performance. Developed through continuous refinement in collaboration with elite athletes, including Filippo Ganna, they combine race-level efficiency, low weight and carefully engineered ergonomics.

The upper features ARS, or Anatomic Reticular Support, technology. This external support structure surrounds the foot and adapts to its shape, distributing pedalling loads evenly and in a controlled manner. It improves stability and helps minimise unnecessary movement inside the shoe. The perforated upper provides effective ventilation, keeping the feet fresher on hot days and during high-intensity riding.

The ergonomic Powershape 15 outsole is made from unidirectional carbon fibre and has a maximum stiffness index of 15.0 for exceptionally efficient power transfer. The integrated Powershape arch-support system helps stabilise the foot and increase pressure through the pedal stroke. Three strategically positioned ventilation openings improve airflow beneath the foot. The outsole is also compatible with Speedplay/Wahoo pedal systems when used with the appropriate adapter.

The advanced dual-zone closure system uses two X-Dial SLW3 dials, allowing the pressure over the instep and forefoot to be adjusted independently with millimetre precision. The SLW3 mechanism is fast and intuitive to operate: press the button for gradual step-by-step release or lift it to open the shoe completely in an instant.

Two insoles with different thicknesses, 3 mm and 5 mm, are included to help customise the internal volume and achieve a more precise fit. At approximately 220 grams per shoe, the EXTREME PRO 3 is an outstanding choice for racing, fast training sessions and demanding road rides.
