Northwave EXTREME PRO TP Bib Tights are PRO-level TOTAL PROTECTION winter cycling tights designed to provide maximum protection from cold, wind, rain, and snow. They are recommended for temperatures from –10 to +5 °C, making them an excellent choice for demanding winter training and long-distance riding.

The tights are made from a breathable, four-way stretch membrane fabric that offers excellent freedom of movement while protecting the rider from changing winter conditions. Developed by Northwave Lab, the Kinetic Extreme Pro combines versatility, protection, and comfort in a single high-performance garment.

Thermal insulation is provided by the innovative three-layer Fox King 85 fabric. Its DWR treatment protects against water and wind while allowing moisture vapour to escape. The material is waterproof up to an 11,000 mm water column, providing reliable protection in rain, sleet, and wet snow.

The high-performance Tek Series® membrane delivers an excellent balance of breathability and weather protection. Its water vapour transmission rating is 11,000 g/m²/24 h according to ASTM/E96BW testing at 38 °C and 50% relative humidity.

The inner layer that comes into contact with the skin uses a 3D-structured gauze construction. This helps maintain excellent body insulation and a stable temperature while improving moisture management during intensive riding.

Outstanding long-distance comfort is provided by Northwave's premium Explorer pad. Its open-cell structure uses three different densities to ensure effective support, comfort, and shock absorption. The 60 kg/m³ section improves seating comfort, while the 120 kg/m³ zones offer high vibration and impact absorption.

The pad is milled and combined with a soft microfibre layer. Ventilation holes in the mesh material encourage rapid moisture evaporation and deliver exceptionally fast drying times, even during demanding winter rides.

The upper section of the bib tights is made from highly breathable Freshfeel mesh and paired with soft microfibre braces. This construction improves ventilation, keeps the body drier, and provides a secure and comfortable fit.

Elastic ankle cuffs and an internal silicone grip ensure close contact with the collars of Northwave winter cycling shoes. The stain-resistant fabric simplifies maintenance, while reflective details on the lower legs improve visibility in low-light conditions.
